Vitamin water

We all know that drinking enough water a day is important. And I am talking about water and not water used for producing sugary drinks, mixed with syrups, juices etc. That doesn’t count at all and should be immediately removed from your menu. Forever!

But we all get in a certain period when it’s quite difficult to stay consistent with drinking enough. Sometimes we’re just too busy, next time we forgot the bottle to take along when on the way, some other time it just feels too cold to drink it, etc. Well, I don’t know about you, but I do have more troubles with drinking it enough in the colder than in the warmer months. What it does make easier, if you add it a bit of a flavor.

I love homemade vitamin waters. No added sugar, no additives, only fresh ingredients, couple of hours of soaking and that’s it. Even drinking right away is ok.

The best way to prepare it, is the evening before, put it in the fridge over night and drinking it the next day. Avoid plastic bottles; store it in the glass or at least BPA free bottles.

Here is couple of suggestions, which you can try out, soon you will master your own flavours and I promise you’ll never get bored of drinking water again!

 

So, here’s the deal. Grab that bottle (or more of them, because it stays good for 3 days, stored in the fridge) and these fresh ingredients:

 

  • cucumber + fresh mint + lime (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • strawberries (fresh or frozen) + fresh basil leaves + lemon (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • mix berries (fresh or frozen) + fresh basil leaves infused water
  • blueberries + orange (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • raspberries + lime (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • rhubarb + strawberries
  • rosemary + mandarin (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • water melon + fresh mint
  • blueberries + lemon grass
  • fresh ginger (peeled) + mint + lime & orange (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • kiwi+ grapefruit (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • kiwi + orange (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • pineapple + black berries
  • strawberries + lemon & grapefruit (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • apple + cinnamon stick + pear
  • apple + plums
  • fresh rosemary + raspberries + pear
  • pomegranate seeds + orange (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • cranberries (fresh) + apple + lemon & orange (juice only, peel makes it bitter and most of the time is full of pesticides)
  • ginger + pineapple + fresh mint

 

However, we could go on and on with the ideas and like I said, once you’ll “master” them, you’ll find those which fits your taste the most.

e them enough for about 3 days, although the 4th day it can be still good, but I don’t recommend. Let’s make them fresh ones. 😉
