Sony, doodle artist at Sokayli Art – ENG post

It’s my pleasure to introduce you to my sister in law Sony, the doodle artist. More about how and why is she participating in this “Bring Clean Eating into your Life” challenge; in her personal story bellow:

Hey clean eating challengers!

My name is Sony, doodle artist and owner of Sokayli Art. As you already may have noticed, you are receiving my drawings during the ‘Bring Clean Eating into your Life Challenge’. Maybe you are wondering what these have in common with clean eating. I can tell you, not a whole lot… I’ll explain to you why we have chosen to make my drawings a part of this challenge.

During these busy times full of stress, it’s difficult to stick to a good eating pattern and healthy lifestyle. And it’s especially challenging finding time to relax. Do you remember how relaxing it was to draw and colour as a child? I certainly do. But why don’t we do that anymore as adults? Do we think drawing and coloring is only for children? Do we think we don’t have time to colour? Or it simply doesn’t come up in our minds to colour something? Actually strange that something we loved doing as kids, we never seem to do in our adult lives…

If you are, just like me, prone to snacking on (unhealthy/bad) foods during times of stress, it is important not to do this during the challenge. And so to help you find a moment of peace, we included my drawings as a part of this challenge. Every week, for the upcoming 5 weeks, you will receive a drawing from Sokayli Art, together with the instruction booklet for that week, for you to colour. When having a difficult moment, take the coloring page and start coloring. My experience is that the difficult moment will soon go by.

Not only is coloring for adults a very popular anti-stress method, it’s also just fun to do. If you don’t have crayons, coloring pencils or colored markers, buy yourself a nice set as a reward for changing your eating patterns and lifestyle. Or just use whatever you have lying around the house: a normal pencil, marker or just even a simple pen will do. Remember: it doesn’t have to be a work of art. The end result is not important in this process, just focus on doing it.

Some of the benefits:

1 – You have a moment for yourself

2 – It’s relaxing

3 – It creates a peace of mind

4- It increases creativity and improves concentration

5 – And (most importantly in this challenge) the difficult moment in which you usually grab an unhealthy snack will pass by without notice

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your crayons, pencils or markers and start coloring! I’m extremely curious what you will make of my drawings. So don’t forget to take a picture and upload it on the challenge page on Facebook with the hashtag #babeonarunsokayliart #babeonarunselfie #babeonarunchallenge

Have you become interested in the rest of my work, feel free to have a look on my Facebook page Sokayli Art.

Good luck with the challenge!
